I’ve been waiting nearly two weeks to post Luna’s photographs on the & unlimited dogs blog, as her session was a surprise birthday gift for my friend, Darcy. Luna’s parents, Darcy & Carolyn, own one of my favorite shops in the world (yes, the world!), 2 Note Botanical Perfumery. Located in the heart of the Old Port in downtown Portland, 2 Note is a beautiful, whimsical shop that captivates all of your senses from the moment you step foot inside. I was so excited to receive the super stealth call from Carolyn while she was working at the shop alone one afternoon about scheduling a surprise session for Darcy’s birthday.
Meet oh-so-sweet Luna, the 13 year-old yellow labrador retriever, who is the best smelling dog in the world (yes, the world!) She smells just like the delicious shop at 10 Moulton Street!
Carolyn & Darcy are both musicians, hence the name for their shop!
Darcy & Carolyn live in Yarmouth in an amazing barn!
There is no better way to celebrate a birthday than with the memories of a best friend you’ve known for thirteen wonderful years. Thank you both, Carolyn & Darcy! Luna is one special dog and I’m so glad I got the chance to spend a quiet summer afternoon with her.
