about meredith

A couple of years ago, on a farm in rural North Carolina, a friendship was formed when a tiny 6lb. black lab laid his eyes on Meredith. Michael (Meredith’s boyfriend) knew that they had finally found the puppy they had been seraching for, because this tiny black ball of fluff, soon to be known as Orvis, had chosen Meredith and was following her every step around the property. Two years and 80lbs. later, they are still inseparable, having become lifelong best pals. On a typical day they can usually be found running through the streets of Cape Elizabeth, hiking the trails of Maine, or simply at home, curled up next to each other. You can, in fact, tell when they have spent too much time together, because their mannerisms will slightly resemble each other’s. Odd only if you’ve never met the two. . .

Without Orvis, Meredith would still be taking pictures – her love for photography having been nurtured from a young age. But by living with Orvis for two years now an entirely different photographic world has become known to her. . . a world of documenting the adorable, quirky, even insane things our favorite animals do, everyday, to bring joy to our lives.

If you watch Meredith as she photographs dogs, you will see her in her truest element. Whether rolling on the ground with your pup, or cuddling up to your tired snoozing dog, Meredith is as happy as happy can be, and her work shows it.

When Meredith is behind the lens, and your best friend is in front of it, the possibilities are unlimited!
