the pugs: ozzy & jenny!

Ozzy & Jenny’s mother, Brenda, won their session through the South Portland Dog Owner’s Group raffle earlier this summer. When Crystal, the president of the dog owner’s group, informed me that the winner was the owner of two pugs, I nearly squealed with excitement! I think every photographer should get the privilege of working with pugs as models… they’re just that cute!

Ozzy is actually Jenny’s son! How lucky they both are to get to grow old together in a wonderful house steps away from Willard Beach!

These two were so in sync at times, it was wild!

Thank you, Peluso Family! I will never forget walking down Willard Beach with you all that summer evening and seeing just how happy the pugs made everyone on the beach!

scooby at willard beach & hinckley!

After volunteering with the South Portland Dog Owners Group, I was lucky to have the chance to meet up with Scooby for some photographs! Scooby & his mother, Crystal, know everyone on Willard Beach, so it’s quite fun walking up and down the beach with them!

Since Scooby is quite popular on the beach, I think this photo is extremely fitting.

If you cannot already tell, I have a minor obsession with black & white Scooby pictures.

We headed over to Hinckley Park in South Portland next!

Thanks again, Crystal! You have such a wonderful dog in Scooby! Keep bringing him by the & unlimited studio for treats!

New Summer Hours at Willard Beach!

Just a friendly reminder that the new summer hours at Willard Beach begin tomorrow, May 1st. Dogs are allowed under voice control during the hours of 7am – 9am and 7pm – 9pm.

And, of course, I’m still available for early morning and evening (as the summer progresses and it stays lighter later) Willard Beach photo sessions!

The Dogs of Willard Beach

In light of the ongoing local controversy about dogs being banned from Willard Beach during the summer months, I have begun working on a fun project, The Dogs of Willard Beach. In the coming weeks, as it continues to warm up a bit, I will make my way down to the beach quite often (just down the street from the studio!) with my camera to work on this fun project.
